Brittany Mahomes Set for UT Tyler Hall of Fame Induction in 2026

Following Patrick Mahomes' induction into the Texas High School Football Hall of Fame in Waco last year—where Brittany proudly supported him from the stands—the tables have turned. Now it's Brittany's moment in the spotlight.

The University of Texas at Tyler has revealed its 2026 Hall of Fame inductees, with Brittany Mahomes earning her spot among the honourees. She joins Dr. Howard Patterson and the complete 2016 Softball Team as members of the sixth class entering the UT Tyler Athletics Hall of Fame.

Athletics Director Sam Ferguson expressed genuine enthusiasm about the announcement. "The 2026 UT Tyler Hall of Fame class is truly elite," Ferguson stated, acknowledging the calibre of this year's inductees.

Remarkable Numbers From Her Playing Days

Between 2013 and 2016, Brittany established herself as one of UT Tyler's most accomplished soccer players. Her statistical achievements remain impressive: she ranks second in program history for total points (78) and goals scored (31).

Her offensive contributions extended beyond goal-scoring. Brittany recorded 16 career assists and netted 10 game-winning goals, placing her third in both categories. She appeared in 74 matches during her collegiate career, demonstrating remarkable durability and placing her third all-time in games played.

Her final campaign in 2016 showcased her peak performance. That season, she established program benchmarks with 40 points, 18 goals, and seven match-winning strikes—records that still stand today.

Recognition Beyond Statistics

Ferguson emphasized that Brittany's influence extends far beyond her on-field accomplishments. "Her career pales in comparison to the incredible work she has been doing to advance women in sport," the director noted.

Still, her playing statistics deserve recognition. Brittany recorded four hat tricks throughout her university career—matching the school's single-game standard and highlighting her ability to dominate matches.

For UT Tyler faithful and women's football supporters, this honour recognizes an outstanding contributor to the program. Brittany's achievements at the institution remain unmatched, and her Hall of Fame induction permanently acknowledges her legacy. The official ceremony is scheduled for March, with the Mahomes family expected to attend the celebration.
