What happens to my bet if the player doesnt play??

confused_punter88 2 months ago
ok so i put a tenner on a player to score anytime in a footy match and turns out he was benched and never came on. checked my account and the bet is still showing as pending which is weird? does this just lose or do i get my money back. never had this happen before so a bit confused tbh

yeah this happens more than youd think mate. if the player doesnt come on at all the bet is usually voided and you get your stake back, it just settles as a non runner basically. the pending thing is normal it just takes a bit to update sometimes. ive had this loads on Rolletto and the money always came back, just had to wait til the match was fully finished and settled. only thing to watch is if it was part of an acca cause then it depends on how they treat the void leg

can confirm, same thing happened to me a few weeks back. lad got subbed and never played, my goalscorer bet just got voided and the stake landed back in my account next morning. nothing to stress about

wait so does this only apply to goalscorer bets or like any player prop? asking cause i had a shots on target bet for a guy who got injured in warmup

nah its any player specific market basically. shots, cards, assists, goalscorer all the same. if the player doesnt take part it gets voided. your injured in warmup one should def be void since he never even started

fwiw the general rule across most bookies is that anytime/first goalscorer markets are void if the player takes no part. but if hes named in the starting 11 and gets subbed before scoring its a loser not a void. starting status matters

had this go the other way once and it was annoying. player came on for literally 2 mins in injury time so the bet counted as live and i lost the lot. felt robbed honestly cause he never had a touch but technically he played so no void

to be fair thats just the rules though. once they step on the pitch the bet is active doesnt matter if its 2 mins or 90. ive had it work in my favour too where a sub got a late goal so swings and roundabouts really

idk this all sounds a bit convenient. how do you actually know theyre voiding it fairly and not just keeping the stakes hoping people dont notice? seems easy to fudge

nah they cant really fudge it, the void rules are in the t&cs and theres regulators watching this stuff. i literally watched mine settle from pending to void and the stake credited back. if anything ever looks off just screenshot it and contact support, they sorted mine no issue

so if i had this player in a 4 fold acca and one leg gets voided does the whole thing collapse or what

no it doesnt collapse. the voided leg just gets removed and the acca recalculates with the remaining 3 selections at their odds. so it basically becomes a treble. youll get reduced potential winnings but you dont lose everything

worth noting the wait time for settlement varies a lot. some bookies settle voids within an hour of the final whistle, others ive waited til the next day. if its still pending way after the match contact them but usually its just slow systems not a problem

yep been there, got my stake back no drama. honestly once you know the void rules it stops being scary. happens all the time with rotation and last minute injuries especially in cup games where managers rest people. just check your bet hasnt got that void tag and youre golden
